How do I delete my data?
Version 1.0.0. Version 1.0.0 has no Data deletion ID or Settings → Legal → Delete server data entry. You may email info@boldfinch.net to exercise your data-protection rights, but this version does not provide the ID-based lookup flow.
First later App release. The first later App release with Analytics choices and server-data deletion contains the ID-based request flow. The Data deletion ID is the App installation's pseudonymous identifier used to associate accepted PostHog analytics with a deletion request.
Open Settings → Legal → Delete server data in that later release. You can copy the complete Data deletion ID or choose Email deletion request to contact info@boldfinch.net.
The website cannot read or retrieve your Data deletion ID. There is no website deletion form or automated deletion service; you must provide the complete Data deletion ID copied from the App.
When support processes the request, it covers only stored PostHog analytics data associated with the submitted Data deletion ID. It is not an analytics or crash-reporting opt-out. If analytics is allowed again or remains allowed, future PostHog collection continues with the same Data deletion ID and may require a later deletion request.
Sentry crash-report data is excluded from this deletion path. We do not send the Data deletion ID to Sentry and cannot use it to locate or attribute a requester-specific Sentry report. This does not claim that diagnostic data can never be personal information under applicable law.
Recipes and preferences remain local to your device; the website and support cannot read them, and they are not part of the PostHog deletion request. Uninstalling the App removes this on-device data.
How do I access or export my PostHog analytics data?
In the first later App release with Analytics choices and server-data deletion, open Settings → Legal → Delete server data and copy the complete Data deletion ID. Email that ID to info@boldfinch.net and state that you want access or a portable copy rather than deletion.
Boldfinch can use the exact ID to locate matching PostHog event records and provide an understandable copy and, where applicable, a machine-readable JSON or CSV export. An access request does not delete data. If you request access followed by deletion, we prepare the access copy before starting deletion.
The Data deletion ID is not sent to Sentry or used to index a Boldfinch-controlled AdMob record. It therefore cannot produce a requester-specific Sentry or AdMob export. Recipes and preferences stay only on your device and cannot be retrieved by Boldfinch.
Why does the App show ads?
Lazy Lion Matcha is free and ad-supported. A short interstitial can be attempted when you generate a new recipe, including Surprise Me, or open a saved recipe from History or Recent — at most once per local calendar day. Further recipe opens that day proceed without another advertisement.
Where the applicable jurisdiction permits the model and the daily gate applies, the contextual-ad attempt is part of the free recipe path. Choosing Maybe later, cancelling, or dismissing the short ad notice leaves that gated path without opening the recipe.
If there is no ad to show, the network fails, the App is legally or technically ineligible to request an ad, or display fails, the recipe may still continue. That fallback does not create a guaranteed ad-free tier.
How do I limit ad tracking?
Applicable regional privacy and consent flows can differ. When Settings → Ad privacy choices is available, use it to revisit Google's UMP choice. On iOS, change the separate Apple ATT permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. These are device-local controls; support cannot change them remotely by email.
Those choices can limit personalized advertising and cross-app tracking. They do not make one worldwide privacy flow apply, and they do not by themselves prove that every advertising-related processing activity stops.
What does non-personalized mean?
Non-personalized advertising uses contextual information rather than behavioural ad personalization. It can still involve personal or pseudonymous information such as IP address or coarse location, device and network details, App and ad-request context, consent signals, ad interactions, measurement, and fraud-prevention signals.
Google may also serve Limited Ads in some circumstances. Limited Ads can limit advertising uses or selection, but it is not an anonymous or processing-free mode. How do I stop product analytics?
In the first later release with Analytics choices, open Settings → Analytics choices and select No thanks. This is the effective technical control that stops future App-to-PostHog analytics capture on that device. Support cannot change this device-local setting remotely by email.
Changing the setting does not automatically delete earlier PostHog records. Use the separate access or deletion process above if you also want a copy or deletion of existing PostHog data.
What data does the App collect?
Lazy Lion Matcha does not require an account. Recipes stay on your device. Product analytics, crash reports, and ad-related signals may be processed through third-party services as described in our Privacy Policy: https://boldfinch.net/lazy-lion-matcha/privacy-policy

Can I correct my data?
The App has no account, name record, email record, or editable customer profile. PostHog events are historical activity records rather than profile fields that Boldfinch can rewrite.
If you believe an event or support record is inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, or was collected, disclosed, or retained contrary to applicable law, email info@boldfinch.net. We will assess the request and correct, annotate, stop using, or delete information where technically possible and legally required, or explain why no correction can be made.
Recipes and preferences can be changed or deleted directly in the App because they remain only on your device.
How do I make a Canadian privacy request or complaint?
Email the person accountable for privacy at info@boldfinch.net to request access, a portable PostHog copy, correction, deletion, or to make a privacy complaint. We may need enough information to verify that the request concerns you. For future analytics, advertising personalization, or cross-app tracking, use the device controls described above; email cannot change those settings remotely.
